The Daiwa 22 Saltiga 15L-SJ (Left) is Daiwa's flagship slow jigging reel, engineered for anglers who demand exceptional cranking power, smooth operation, and uncompromising durability in offshore environments. The dedicated SJ (Slow Jigging) version was developed in collaboration with renowned Japanese angler Kazushige Shimizu, delivering optimized ergonomics and performance specifically for slow jigging techniques.

Featuring a 6.3:1 gear ratio and an impressive 103 cm line retrieve per handle rotation, the reel provides fast and efficient line recovery while maintaining precise jig control throughout the retrieve.

The lightweight 85–95 mm carbon crank handle improves balance, reduces fatigue, and enhances overall handling. In addition, the specially optimized reel foot position has been designed to maximize comfort for the elbow-supported slow jigging style favored by experienced offshore anglers.

With 10 kg of maximum drag, 8+1 premium bearings, and generous PE line capacity, the Saltiga 15L-SJ is built to handle powerful offshore species including yellowfin tuna, amberjack, dentex, grouper, and other deep-water predators.
