Duo Onimasu Kagura 55HS

The DUO Onimasu Kagura 55HS is a compact 55mm sinking jerkbait minnow, originally developed for demanding trout fishing but also highly versatile for saltwater spinning applications.

This downsized Kagura model features an internal moving weight system, providing a fast sinking response and excellent control during retrieves and jerking movements. Its compact yet relatively heavy body combines a small baitfish profile with a useful casting weight, making it suitable for reaching fish at greater distances.

Although developed specifically for targeting big wild trout, the Onimasu Kagura 55HS is not limited to freshwater. Its compact profile and sinking action make it an excellent option for saltwater spinning, especially when targeting predators feeding on smaller baitfish.

In Mediterranean waters, it can be particularly interesting for large white seabream (sargos) and other coastal predatory fish capable of attacking a compact minnow. The combination of a 55mm body and 9g weight makes it a versatile choice for light to medium spinning applications.

Its sinking design allows anglers to work the lure at different depths, while the jerkbait profile responds effectively to jerks, twitches and variations in retrieve speed.

The Onimasu embodies the design philosophy pursued by Masakage Masaki, while the Kagura series is supervised by Toshiaki Sawada, who has refined his trout fishing skills alongside Masakage since the early days of the technique.
