Yamashita introduces the new Egi OH Live Search series!

Keeping all the features that made it popular among eging anglers, the new version adds an innovative 600Hz sound technology, specially designed to effectively attract squid.

Research conducted in collaboration with Japanese universities has shown that squid can perceive sounds between 400Hz and 1600Hz, with 600Hz being the most “attractive” frequency for them. For this reason, Yamashita designed the Live Search to produce a rattle exactly at 600Hz, stimulating the squid’s curiosity and significantly increasing the chances of a strike.

To achieve this perfect frequency, Yamashita replaced the traditional plastic body with a bone-like high-density material, and added stainless steel bearings inside instead of plastic or glass ones. This combination produces a clean, natural sound, exactly at the frequency that attracts squid.
